CureTrack delivers UMCG logistics efficiency based on real-time data

The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) started in 2015 with the implementation of CureTrack, a smart automation concept from CureTrack from Heerenveen, specialized in logistics processes in healthcare provision. The RTLS system (Real Time Location System) provides real-time usage data to efficiently and patient-oriented manage logistical flows of medical devices. Main profit: more economical inventory management, reduction of search times, reduction of operational costs and assurance of cleaning and maintenance procedures.

How efficiently is medical equipment used?

Despite the presence of a nursing warehouse with a pool system, Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis was convinced that medical equipment could be used even more efficiently. From a proof-of-concept measurement, in which 200 devices received an RFID tag, it can be concluded that a significant reduction in equipment is indeed possible.
